Great place to stay in wonderfull Salcombe. we had two stops with us and it's perfect. nice sized enclosed garden, most of downstairs is hard flooring, which was great for the dogs. I only didn't give 5 stars for location, because it is a steep walk back from town, it didn't both us but it might some people. House felt very homeland big enough. parking is on street but we always found somewhere to park quite easily. Salcombe is lovely and a good base to discover places nearby. Thanks Philippa for having us.
Spacious family home in great location. Easy to walk to and from the town. Handy to have a park nearby for younger children.
Great stay for my family of five, plus dog at this comfortable cottage. Salcombe is a special place. Thank you

Salvora is ideally located to easily visit lovely beaches and coastal walks around the stunning South Hams coast.
North Sands and South Sands are two lovely beaches a short walk away (South Sands being a little longer walk), or walk to the Salcombe Ferry Inn take the small ferry across the estuary to East Portlemouth with Mill Bay and Sunny Cove offering sheltered sandy beaches perfect for all the family.
The South Sands Ferry from White Strand pontoon in the centre of town also is a fun trip to South Sands beach and back.
Or within 30 minutes drive there are some of the county best beaches:
Hope Cove (two beaches and the Hope and Anchor offering great pub food), The National Trust South Milton Sands with Thurlestone Rock Arch and the Beach House cafe offering lovely food. Bantham Beach (great for surfing) and Slapton Sands, Bee Sand and Blackpool Sands all a short drive away on the the other side of Start Point.
The Coastal Path offers some of the countries most stunning coastal walks, either around Bolt Head, from South Sands to Hope Cove, or from East Portlemouth around to the Gara Rock Hotel (a great stop for lunch, or a cup of tea and cake) and onwards to Start Point with it's famous views and prominent light house.
Eating out in Salcombe and in the surrounding area:
Salcombe is lively in the evenings with plenty of bars and restaurants to suit all ages and budgets.
The Victoria Inn in the centre of town always has welcoming atmosphere and a children’s play area in the garden. The Kings Head opposite has plenty of outdoor seating and The Fortescue Inn offers a wood fired pizza oven and plenty of choice on the menu.
Or try Captain Flint's cafe - always popular with children, or The Winking Prawn at North Sands which is open all day right on the beach and has a BBQ on fine evenings from 4.00pm. The South Sands Hotel has a lovely view of the estuary and great food and The Crab Shack is by the Creek Car Park and is well worth a visit for lovely seafood.
The Ferry Inn is a good stop off point as you leave the small ferry from East Portlemouth and has great views of the estuary on its spacious terrace or a little further the Crab Shed in Kingsbridge is a family favourite.
On the water:
The estuary is perfect for Sailing and Kayaking. See Salcombe Dingy Sailing in Whitestrands or the Island Cruising Club at No. 3 Boat Store, Island Street.
Boat hire and fishing trips can be organised from Whitestrand Boat hire in town and for Windsurfing and Kitesurfing try Thurlstone Beach, and Bantham Surfing Academy offers lessons and courses suitable for all skill levels.
Places to Visit in the area:
Agatha Christies House, Greenway is at Dartmouth about 40 minutes away.
