Easily the best Air BNB I’ve stayed in! Gibson Cottage is just wonderful & Clare is everything you would want in a host. Helpful directions to the cottage including a what three words & a super easy self check in. The cottage is immaculately clean - it’s like a show home! Clare provided a lovely welcome hamper of food goodies & a bottle of fizz. The kitchen had all the facilities you could need; a selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate & the simple things like salt & pepper that are often forgotten by other hosts. Lovely touches throughout, especially in the bathroom - gorgeous smelling natural toiletries, cotton buds, hot water bottles, spare tooth brushes if needed! Clare has thought of everything a guest may need. The roll top bath was just delightful & the bed was easily the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. If you’re torn between this Air BNB & another - pick Gibson Cottage. You will not be disappointed.

Our stay at Gibson Cottage has been wonderful. The cottage is stunning, more amazing than the pictures show. Absolutely fantastic location for a very chilled weekend. We will definitely be back!

We had the best time at Claire’s place celebrating my mums birthday. House was fabulous with every attention to detail you could possibly want. Brilliant location. One of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in. Will definitely book again. Exceptional host. X

What an incredible place! We had a wonderful long weekend here. Great location for exploring the Lakes. The cottage is like heaven - spotless, comfortable, cosy, beautifully decorated. We will definitely be back. Everything was perfect and Clare and her husband were incredibly helpful, welcoming us with tips and little snacks (chocolate eggs for Easter was a delightful touch!) and available at the drop of a hat. Highlights include - the fire, lovely kitchen, big cosy rugs everywhere, extremely comfortable bed, lovely big bath, books and maps of the walks in the lakes, warm and cosy. We did pop our head in at the hotel restaurant (basically next door) and it looked fine but the pub had some sporadic opening hours so we didn't try there. We went to the Horse and Farriers in Dacre which was very nice and a quick drive. Overall a really lovely place and wonderful host :)
