‘The Firs’ is a 4 bedroom holiday home, situated in the peaceful village of Aboyne, in the heart of Royal Deeside. Totally refurbished throughout, this traditional semi-detached granite house offers 4 spacious bedrooms, a lounge, breakfast room, kitchen, utility room, large conservatory and decked area onto a private south facing garden. It is available to rent on a weekend or weekly basis.
We had a lovely stay over the Easter weekend. The house was beautiful and we felt right at home ! Gary & Joyce we great hosts and we would certainly stay again! X
Great location in both Aboyne and the Eastern Cairngorms for exploring the area. Spacious house and warm on cold Autumn days - underfloor heating in large conservatory, and real fire in the lounge both very welcome.
The house was the perfect location for a family get away with some coming from Aberdeen, some down in England and some from over in the US! Lovely facilities, tonnes of space, great garden and lots in either walking distance or a short drive away. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Garry & Joyce!
By far the best place I have stayed in Scotland, extremely high standard kitchen with every utensil you can think of. Very professional and responsive Host.
The attractive Royal Deeside village of Aboyne is a little gem in the heart of Deeside and a haven for tourists the whole year round.
Situated on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, the great outdoors really is on your doorstep. There a host of outdoor activities to keep you busy whether it is walking, cycling, golf, skiing or fishing that interests you.
In addition to outdoor pursuits Aberdeenshire boasts more castles than any other region in Scotland, with Balmoral castle just a short drive away.
Alternatively if it is whisky that interests you, there are several nearby distilleries at Fettercairn, Tomintoul and of course Royal Lochnagar, just behind Balmoral Castle.
Aboyne is also well known for hosting the first of the Royal Deeside Highland Games events, kicking off on the 1st Saturday in August. This continues throughout August at the other local villages concluding in a grand finale on the first Saturday in September at the Braemar Gathering attended by Her Majesty the Queen.
The house has dual access; at the front from the main Ballater Road and also from the back via Balmoral Lane.
There is a parking space for 2 cars at the back of the house, accessed from Balmoral Lane.
Additional vehicles can be parked safely on Balmoral Terrace.
