Very peaceful cabin tucked up in the woods. Location is remote with no cell service and a long drive to town. Make sure you plan accordingly. We felt right at home and appreciated the well stocked kitchen. The bed was cozy, nice water pressure in the shower, and the heater kept the place nice and warm. I wish the living room furniture was more cozy. We didn’t do much exploring of the area, but the cabin is a nice place for a restful retreat.

This a rare find , the place was simply awesome , pin drop silence , I travelled with my kids and 2 dogs and this is a place I would like to visit again may be when it snows , it has a good walking trail , all the amenities stacked , no complaints whatsoever , the place gave a true rustic cabin feeling in wilderness . The only disappointment was I couldn’t spot a bear …. Anyways there’s always next time ….

Got to have an extended stay at Eric’s place. It was a beautiful quiet place that suited our needs perfectly. Highly recommend it!

My husband and I and our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eric’s cabin during our weekend getaway to the area. The cabin was clean and comfortable and in a central location with close proximity to many hikes, the French Broad River, Hot Springs, Greenville and Newport. Eric was a great host and approved our stay quickly after we had to cancel our original reservation at another location that had been double booked. Without him we wouldn’t have had a place to stay. But as they always say, things happen for a reason and after only one night we felt so happy to have found Bare Run and have had the privilege to stay there. We look forward to visiting again soon!!

Great Stay!! We were very pleased with everything on our stay! Beautiful surroundings, very quiet and clean. Eric was very responsive to my questions, we enjoyed the fire pit outside, and all the amenities it has to offer. It was a great stay again and would highly recommend.
