the Captian's Lodge was probably the best AirB&B we ever stayed at! Every detail was selected for the comfort of the guest. From cozy bedding, fluffy beautiful towels, k cups and the list goes on and on. This location was perfect if your visiting Salem was only a 15 minute easy drive and your out of the businesses of the Salem area which was nice to come back to a quiet neighborhood. We also visited the Hammond castle in Gloucester. Highly recommend it also, the town was lovely to walk through had many quaint shops and restaurants. We had dinner at the Blue Marlin Grille, which was 7 minutes from he lodge. Food was fabulous! View was beautiful from the front porch and the back patio is fabulous with a big gas firepit, cozy furniture and a nice place to enjoy your morning coffee. Can't wait to go back!

This beach cottage is the perfect place to get away weather on a romantic getaway, family trip, or a group trip. We stayed here as a home base for a wedding in the area with two other couples. It was the perfect getaway, we paddle boarded each day, cooked, played games, and all slept comfortably at this cozy cottage. All of the finishings and details of this home were high end and beautifully designed. Sally was an amazing host, great communication, so flexible and friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. My husband and I can’t wait to come back one day!

Sally was an EXCEPTIONAL host! It was my sister's bachlorette and she decorated the place for us! Complete with confetti, a kind note, a sign acknowledging she was "tying the knot" and a bottle of rose! She was easy to communicate with and lived right next door. The home was cozy and full of natural light. We loved the fire pit, living room, and each having our own bedrooms. Great spot for a group or couples! She also went out of her way to explain how/where to access the stand up paddle boards and life-jackets, which wasn't obvious when we arrived. Sally was friendly, generous, and easily accessible! She really made our weekend by giving us an earlier check in, so we could drop our stuff off & make the most of the day. She also generously allowed us to stay past noon on our final day. This kind of flexibility really made the 6 hour drive from Philly worth it!!! We'd love to go back!

This place is gorgeous. You can’t beat the views. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Sally is an amazing hostess. She was always responsive and very friendly. She and her husband are some of the nicest people we’ve met. We would not hesitate to stay here again!! Thank you Sally and Dickran!

Beautiful space and environs. Lovely home, well equipped, highly recommend if you enjoy water sports (kayaks, SUPs provided!)
