It was a great experience. We loved the place and everything was well taken care of. We had supplies for s’mores and the kids loved it! The games as well. And the wife loved the wine. We strongly recommend the Soundhouse!

We had a great visit at Xan’s place on Bearskin Neck in Rockport. Right in the middle of everything and yet very private on the inside and back decks. Very convenient parking behind the building. Xan’s place was spotless and well-appointed. Many thoughtful touches like a nice welcome note, bottled water, coffee/tea, and umbrellas made it easy to focus on enjoying our weekend in Rockport. Xan consistently corresponded quickly with helpful replies over the weekend. We will definitely come back for another visit to this spacious place right in the heart of Rockport!

Xan’s sound house was absolutely perfect! Beautiful large open floor layout with everything you need ! So much room, amazing views. Three porches! Very cozy and perfect atmosphere. You are directly on the ocean and in the center of bearskin neck! My favorite part was at night listening to the waves crash on the shore line and the wind blow. Now I understand why they call it the sound house. Very peaceful and will definitely be going back again during the summer.

Lovely accommodations in a great location. On 2nd floor but with very nice outdoor space (decks) overlooking the shore. Also a small deck overlooking the street. Walking distance to Bearskin Neck shops and restaurants. Apartment is nicely furnished, and there were lots of “little things” that always help (coffee, condiments, etc.). We stayed in December and it was very nicely decorated for the holidays. A great place to stay in Rockport!

If we could give a 6 star review, we would! This has become our Annual Fall Vacation Spot after 3 consecutive years at the Sound House. The view of the Atlantic from this house is breath taking. The home is nestled in with plenty of shops and places to eat, but at the end of the block near the sea, so very private. Inside this home you will find plenty of supplies to get you through your stay. The sound House is decorated with superb taste, art from local galleries and tasteful seasonal decor. Overall I just can’t say enough about how incredible this home is. We look forward to returning next fall! Thank you to our gracious hosts.
