LONG TERM STAY: We stayed here for a few months. Conor & Sophie are *excellent hosts*! They responded immediately to any communications, and nothing was too much bother. They made us feel very welcome, and we appreciated them coming to see us before we returned to Australia. We were most comfortable in the unit, and as it was over summer we made good use of the garden and pizza oven. It was no bother to park in the cul-de-sac to the back of the property and walk the little path to the unit. Conveniently, it is only a 2 minute walk to the Spar service station (& 5 min walk to the bigger Spar in the village). We can highly recommend a stay in Whitehead. Call in to the Community Centre for more information - and you will definitely need to visit the bakery across the street. The walks along the Prominade and down to Blackhead Lighthouse are a must. And it's worth calling in to the Rangers Supporters Club at the old bathing pool, for a drink. Thank you so much, Conor & Sophie. 🙂

Lovely house, perfect for what we needed it for. Initially difficult to find but once we did it was easy to access etc. Very comfortable, lovely comfy main bed and travel cot was provided as we requested. Sophie was very responsive to messages and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when visiting family in the area. Thank you 😊

Attractively furnished cottage in a quiet location. Comfortable beds and cottage was very clean. The pizza oven and kamado bbq were a massive bonus but it was a shame that the lovely big kitchen was not better equipped for cooking. We had to buy a tin opener, veg peeler and bowl to make pizza dough. We enjoyed cooking some local meat from Loughshore Farm and ice cream from the Rinka.
