My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Retro Beach Casita. It was very spacious for a couple and had room for up to 2 more guests on a fold-out couch. The patio was a very nice addition as well. We enjoyed being nestled in an avocado orchard, and were treated to free fresh eggs, avocado, citrus and passion fruits, all grown on the property. The bed was really comfortable, the weather was amazing, and we only needed a small floor heater to stay warm in the evenings. The outdoor propane heaters were great for dining out on the patio in the evening as well. There were two small fridges, which was very convenient for a food fridge and a booze fridge, but the upper fridge did smell kind of foul. We also enjoyed having a fully functional kitchen. It helped us save quite a lot of money rather than dining out for every meal. We came here for the Ventura Half Marathon, and it was only about a 20 minute drive to the start line. My only complaint was that there were several spiders.

Cute cottage in a quiet area of Carpinteria that was minutes from the beach and only about 12 minutes from Santa Barbara. Looked just like the pics, would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at the Retro Beach Casita. The place was very cozy and squeaky clean. We're very picky with cleanliness and this place was one of the cleanest stays we've had. The decor and furniture were also great, very tasteful and made the place feel very cozy and nice. Some airbnb's are put together haphazardly, but this place was so nicely decorated, with nice vintage-type appliances. Also, most everything seemed like new. It also had pretty much everything you need, even the smallest details were thought of, such as kitchen utensils, spices, oils, supplies, coffee, etc. Everything worked properly and we had no issues at all. The host was very responsive and friendly, from the beginning to the end. She responded right away if we had any last minute questions. The place also had what you need to make the sofa bed more comfy, such as mattress padding, lots of cozy sheets, etc. We loved the patio, it was large and made the whole place feel bigger. We would definitely return.
