During our Miami trip, we booked Natalia's Airbnb for Feb 15-17. Upon booking, the confirmation showed only Feb 15-16. Contacting Natalia immediately, she claimed unavailability for Feb 16-17, offering an alternative at $1071, much more than our assumed $436.01 for two days. We declined the pricey alternative, requesting a refund instead. Natalia refused, suggesting Airbnb travel insurance. We contacted her within seconds after booking, but she seemed set on keeping the money. Airbnb said the host was paid, requiring her to refund. This made no sense as the payment was still pending with our bank and it was still hours before check in. Promised a supervisor's follow-up, we have yet to hear back from one. It's Feb 29, and we're still struggling to resolve this. I strongly advise avoiding this host. No customer-focused host would subject guests to such an ordeal. After years of loyalty to Airbnb, we're disheartened and uncertain about our future with the platform.

While I reside in Brickell, doing a mini stay cation in neighboring City, Coconut Grove, was a bucket list item my wife and I were waiting to check off. Natalia’s place met all of our expectations. Listing was as described and the location was very convenient in terms of walkability and accessibility. The sunrise views were also spectacular and peaceful from her place. One downside (not Natalia’s fault as it’s not something in her control) - the unit is in a hotel with 3 elevators and unfortunately 2 were out of service during our stay, so going up and down was a bit of a nightmare with wait times. Fortunately I’m used to this having lived in Miami for 10 years - it’s an issue at a lot of buildings due to out of date elevator certifications. Not quite sure why they’re never renewed and/or inspected, but just know to expect it if you’ve never been to Miami.

We really enjoyed staying at Natalia’s place. The view was amazing and we lucked out in getting to hear a symphony perform in the park below with a drone show on the Fourth of July. The sunsets were beautiful from the balcony and we loved that it wrapped around the unit so we could see both the bay and the city lights. There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance including a Starbucks. The unit itself was spotless and well decorated. The bed was comfortable with a variety of pillow types to suit your needs. The AC worked well and we appreciated the black out shades in the bedroom! I loved the natural light in the bathroom. The kitchen had most tools needed for our purpose, which was mostly just drink/snack prep and meal reheating. We would definitely stay again!
