They were very accommodating with. Last minute check in and were helpful and made sure we were awake for a wrestling event we were in town for.

We were in town for a concert and I knew I wanted to stay somewhere other than a hotel. We came across Jay and Nancy’s property and I couldn’t have been more excited. When we arrived… it was very clear that the description and photos couldn’t capture how special this home is. Not only is it very clean, it was beyond warm and welcoming. Everything we needed, and then some, was available. It was so generous to have coffee for us in the morning. With that said, I am a coffee gal by heart, and the coffee Nancy chose was definitely with the intention to serve something of good quality. The linens were warm and comfy. The atmosphere was just enjoyable to be in. A property of this age is remarkable, and it deserves to be appreciated and admired, and that is exactly what I did. The details and originality of the home, along with Nancy’s decor, provided a presence of nostalgia and contentment and for that, I’m grateful. Jay showed us his wood shop and it is a masterpiece!

In town for a Penn State football game. Found McBurney Manor to be a very good alternative to paying the exorbitant hotel prices in town. Large bedroom, well appointed. We typically shy away from shared bathrooms, but found that it worked out fine at Jay and Nancy's place. Nancy was very sweet and helpful. Short, 20 minute drive into town, but over a large hill so you may not want to go back and forth into town often. Shout out to Doan's Bones if you are looking for enjoyable bbq when you stay here.

Jay and Nancy are wonderful inn keepers and hosts. Home is comfortable, private and cozy. We have stayed several times over the last 4 years and find it very convenient for us.
