Pros: Location is beautiful, peaceful place, no traffic, easy to access, nature friendly Cons: the bathroom was very smelly, No cupboards in room allocated to us, Toilet kit and dental kit was missing. We only met the care taker after half of the day spent. The care taker was very helpful. I feel if the host would have atleast come and met us, interacted with us it would have been a much better stay. In my case even when the host was available she didn't come to meet or talk.

Stayed there for 2 nights and it was an amazing experience. The homestay was in the middle of a Tea plantation and the views were beautiful! Caretaker Raja was very friendly and always was there to help us. Parking was a bit challenging only for cars with low ground clearance, but was easily manageable for SUVs. Rooms and restrooms were clean and the food was good too. Overall a very relaxing and refreshing time here! Kudos to the host 😊

It’s an ok place to live if you are doing a work from home or something..they will arrange you the chair, table and all..Ooty and Coonoor is little far ..as it is hill station you will take long time to reach there .so plan accordingly..if you are planning some early morning trip/late night trip park outside :)

It was terrible experience! Stay is not worthy for given money. Food was not available when we reached there. Bed also bad. Only good thing is view. Overall stay experience is not up to the mark.

For future travellers.. The place is nearly 8km from Kotagiri (nearest town), Ooty is nearly 26km. In Kattabettu, it's difficult to find a decent eating joint as this is more of a transition route from Kotagiri to Ooty or Coonoor. Place is nicely nestled in the midst of tea gardens. Since this is a pure budget stay, please keep your expectations in terms of amenities accordingly. Rooms are of decent size with attached bathroom equipped with a geyser and 24Hr hot water facility. All the rooms are in the same level with kitchen and dining area in middle and rooms built around it. There is a dedicated caretaker for rooms and food preparation. Both were kind and curtious to us and helped with all the requirements. Tried in-house food once and would say not a big fan, which brings to my opening statement that nearest town is 8km away and one will need to commute that much distance to get a decent food from outside. please keep that in mind Another big point of consideration would be parking. Parking is enough for 2 or max 3 cars and that to would require some level of expertise to maneuver it, since the parking is at level with road and is slanting towards the valley and tea estate, so in and out on daily basis is a task if multiple cars are parked, also one cannot think about parking on road as it may lead to traffic snarl. Overall this is a nic budget stay to consider if one is tired of the regular places, but some of the limitations like food quality, parking and distance from Kotagiri need to be considered if one is looking for a bit longer stay. If these are not a concern, then this is a good place to consider.
