This is not occupiable in the winter and there is no built in heat, only 2 small space heaters were provided. It was in the low 30s at night and the whole house was freezing. One bedroom smelled strongly of mildew. It was also so cold it could not be occupied. In the end, the family had to huddle together in the living room with blankets and sleep on the couches. For the price, this is probably a great place in the summer, but should not be rented after the weather drops below 40 degrees.

Aida was very friendly and accommodating. She helped setup our fire pit and made sure we had everything we needed. She even checked up on us to see that the fire was still burning. The cabin is located less than 20 minutes from some beautiful hiking trails in the mountains. The showers have hot water and decent pressure. There are plenty of blankets and the bed is comfortable. Pretty much has everything you need after a day hiking.

Aida was an amazing and caring host. Our car was stuck in the mud, but she was willing to help us in pouring rain for 2 hours. The grill was broken but she let us use her kitchen and we were able to make some fantastic dinner. Highly recommend this place.

I have mixed feelings about our stay at Holiday House. I want to thank Aida for her generous hospitality -- she was so helpful to my group. We had to get ready for a wedding, and with the 10 AM checkout time, we would have been getting dressed up for the wedding in a gas station or in the car. Because she so graciously extended our checkout time, we were able to comfortably get ready in the house. While Aida herself did an excellent job managing our stay, the housekeeping team definitely did not deliver. We recognize that this was probably not Aida's fault at all, but rather that she most likely hired a team that did an incomplete job. When we walked in, there were dead bugs all over the tables. There were hairclips, water bottles, and half-used toiletries (including a dirty, used shower loofah) left behind from what must have been the last group. There was a noticeable smell in one of the bedrooms/bathrooms and the drains were covered in grime and a bed had human hair in it.
