Just had an amazing few days at The Parlour, 1 of 5 cottages at Brecks Farm. Finished to a high standard, clean with a well equipped kitchen - it had everything we needed. There was a welcome pack for us with all the food essentials. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and her own welcome basket! The heatwave saw us take full advantage of the outdoor seating area and BBQ - the portable fan in the bedroom came in handy too! The only downside to the heat was that we weren’t able to try the fantastic log burner. The location is excellent, set back from the main road, rural yet close to York. Adjacent to the farm is a field with a picturesque duck pond. The outdoor electrical socket meant we could charge our car. The hosts were extremely welcoming and on hand to help if needed, it was lovely hearing the history of the farm too. We would definitely recommend a stay here and if you have bikes be sure to take advantage of the bike shed, equipped with a rack, tools, workstand and compressor.

What a fantastic break. The Parlour is impressively refurbished and every little detail is thought about (from dressing gowns to Christmas tree) to make it a real home from home. Big comfy bed with nice linen and finishings, along with a log burner - a real luxury feel to the place! The location and surroundings are peaceful and give the feeling of being in the remote countryside but you are actually very close to local shopping and centre of York. The hosts are friendly, helpful and provided great local knowledge of walks and food (many very nice gastro pubs nearby) Very dog friendly and our puppy had the best time. We travel a lot and stay in many Airbnbs and are rarely as impressed as we have been here - we would 100% revisit!

Simply srunning accommodation in a gorgeous location. Everyrhing you could possibly need has been thought of. Great location for visiting York and the area 5 stars for us!!
