Awesome cabin beside the woods in the Smokeshire Valley. We are centrally located between Chester, Ludlow and Springfield VT. Close to Okemo/Vail for activities that they offer. Only 4 miles to the well known Singletons Store. This charming log home is located on a meandering gravel/dirt road that borders the North Branch of the Williams River in Chester, VT. Resting on four acres, the grounds feature perennial gardens, a beautiful front yard, and a bon fire pit. Inside this home is equally pleasant and comfortable, with a first floor that offers: a living room, dining area, a half bath, and a kitchen. The three bedrooms and full bath on the second floor make efficient use of space. The furniture is mildly rustic and mostly hand made by me and the previous owner. I have added new lamps throughout to brighten things up and recently put new flooring in almost the entire cabin. I also put new appliances in the kitchen. There is a wood stove in the living area. There is a desk in the master bedroom and one in the queen bedroom . There are 3 TV’s in the house; FireTVand/or Roku TV are included. The covered front porch is where I spend a lot of my time, when I’m not hiking or working in the yard. The backyard is a wooded hill perfect for a short hike . There is a fenced dog area connected to the front porch. The road is great for biking and walking. Okemo Mountain in Ludlow is only seven miles away! The picturesque Village of Chester is nine miles away. The historic town of Woodstock is thirty miles away, and Manchester is thirty eight miles away. You’re sure to find no shortage of ways to get outside all year round to enjoy wonderful Vermont.
