Lovely cabin, very clean & cosy. However to walk to the cabin was ankle deep in water due to the lake in front having burst its banks & we arrived in the dark! It would have been helpful to have been warned to bring some wellies!! Also I wasn’t aware that to use the toilet meant going outside of the cabin which isn’t practical in the middle of the night in winter! We paid a lot of money for New Years Eve & it would have been nice to arrive to a lit fire & maybe some kind of welcome pack with biscuits & pastries for the morning. Good points the bed & pillows extremely comfy & the water for the bath piping hot.

Quaint cabin in a lovely area near a pond and many trees. The epitome of the quiet bosom in the forest. I would recommend The Hide to anyone looking for peace and quiet. The hosts are friendly, proactive, and responsive.
