I would not recommend the Russell property or any property bachcare is administering. They were unprofessional, disrespectful and failed to communicate with us. With the state of emergency announced in Auckland and then Northland earlier in the week that we were to travel, we requested a refund or transfer of dates. We received no response whatsoever until the time booked had passed, including this request for a review, and we have now been advised that in the hosts view we were able to travel on the day so they will not refund our money or transfer the dates. First, the Brynderwins (SH1) did not open until 1 or 2 days after we were expected in Russell. Two, given the state of emergency issued days earlier, it was unrealistic to expect a family of 6 to wait until the day (of the booking) to see if the roads were open and whether it was safe to travel. I do not recommend the Russell property or any property bachcare is hosting to any person or family group.

A very well located property, just a couple of minutes easy, flat walking from the town. The house is very well furnished and equipped in a tasteful style. Plenty of room for our two families. We enjoyed the communal pool and spa, and our private garden. Bathrooms very clean and well equipped. Everything looked new.
