This is the most Amazing Place! First Mellody and Scott are the best Hosts ever (Really). Special, the pooch is the bestest dog and this is coming from someone who does Not dogs.This place is just fabulous all over. Ooh the Rum Punch baby girl makes, is Punching y’all, the Best Breakfast hands downs…. All and All this my new home away home.

Mellody and Scott were fantastic hosts and their property is stunningly beautiful. They were kind, welcoming, helpful, and a pleasure to hang out with. They have a little bar and chef’s kitchen on the property and Mellody made us delicious meals that we enjoyed while overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Our room was clean, beautiful, large, and accommodating. If I visit Negril again, I would absolutely stay there.

Lovely space, our unit had a literal balcony that gave front row seats to the onsite bar and bites, cabanas, salt water pool, and most importantly the ocean and sunrise and sunset. Special is a beautiful dog that added an additional sense of safety in an area that already felt safe. we walked a bunch day and early evening and checked out local markets and restaurants including inside of the nearby hotel at a place called “Zest”. Sad we stayed such a short time and that I never used the amazing outdoor shower set up. Mellody & Scott were lovely and we plan to come back again.

Overall a good place to stay. Unfortunately Scott leaves a lot to be desired as far as being a host, as a Guest at splash Rock I along with any of the other quests who were within earshot were given very graphic details as to Scott and Mellody’s personal problems in there marriage and upcoming divorce. It became so uncomfortable that not only did I cut my stay at Spashrock from a possible 9 day to a 2 day stay but also at least 1 other guest decided that they did not want to have their time in Negril being spoilt by a host that is clearly going through some personal issues and has decided that anyone staying at splash rock will be given all the unsavoury personal details about the marriage and messy separation. What makes this situation so uncomfortable as a guest is that Scott is obviously hurting and is using alcohol to escape the reality of a marriage breaking up and it is having a negative impact on a guests stay. It is very unfortunate as spashrock is a lovely place.

This place was so amazing. I think it was better than the pictures. Mellody was so sweet and her cooking was bomb. The fire, the water, the canopies, the service, the bar, everything was great . Definitely take a chance to walk atleast once because as nice as the villa, it’s even better to be in the environment as a local and understand their struggles.
