The house has a beautiful panoramic view and it is surrounded by stunning Umbria' n countryside- the land of Etruscan, vineyards and Villa Nike’s own olive grove. The area respects organic farming and local production. These dishes can also be enjoyed at nearby restaurants and vineyards. The area is known for olive oil, wine, truffles and wild pork hunting. Our garden has fig trees, rosemary and sages,thym, herbs that you can use in cooking. In the next door is the lovely winery Tenuta Vitalonga, which also has a good restaurant. Also nearby is the famous Antinori winery Castello della Sala. Our own charming historic small village Ficulle is 2 km away. There are churches, restaurants, bars, bakery, pharmacy, grocery stores, beauty salon, osteopath. Our location is near to the border of Toscana,so you can easly reach all the Toscana's destinations aswell. Popular excursion destinations are Orvieto, Siena, Cortona, Montepulciano-the famous wine village, Castiglione del Lago next to a beautiful lake Trasimeno, Arezzo, famous pilgrimage destination Assisi, Perugia- the capital of Umbria, extreme destination Civita di Bagnoregio (The dying City). Florence and Rome are about 1,5-2 hours drive. Natural Hot springs in Cascate del Mulino, which is definitely worth experiencing all over the year( water is 37 degrees). Hiking in La Scarzuola- Riserva Naturale Monte Rufeno. There are horse riding possibilities around aswel. Fabro Scalo is about 10 min drive, there you can find bigger grocery stores like Eurospin and Coop, and many other shops and restaurants. You have to know, that many shops are closed between 13-15pm every day , becouse italians have their lunch " il pranzo". Welcome to enjoy your unforgettable holiday!🌞

Getting around the area it is best to do by car. The house is surrounded by good opportunities for outdoor activities and walking or jogging on small roads. Private parking in the garden is available for 3-4 cars. If necessary, it is possible to order a tour guide with transport. You can easily reach Florence or Rome city center also by train for a daytrip. The train station is located in Fabro, which is a 10 min drive from the house. You can safely leave the car at the train station until you return in the evening or next day .Parking is free of charge there. Train travel in Italy is easy and affordable. You can also rent a bike from Agriturismo Fattoria Walden , it is near by , about 8 min drive .
