Surrounded by water on 3 sides, this is a great place to relax, unwind, swim, fish, boat and generally enjoy the great Canadian wilderness. This area is remote and the cabin is rustic. If you're thinking 5-star resort, this is probably not for you. If you're wanting a to immerse yourself in nature, you've found a hidden gem. Most of the year, we have organic gardens, chickens, etc and you are more than welcome to interact with all. The cabin itself is rustic but equipped with all of the essentials. The view from the cabin's front porch is idyllic. There is indoor plumbing (no shower or bath) and solar-powered electricity including Starlink wifi, which is available outside of business hours. Think of it like glamping! If, however, you do want a shower during your stay, you are welcome to make use of the outdoor shower next to the main house. You are also welcome to make use of the paddle boards, kayaks and rowboat during your stay.

This place was incredible. Their friend Tammy was our host and she was extremely friendly, helpful and communicative. I don’t think I have ever slept better because of the peace and quiet this location provides. My husband and I had a wonderful time just enjoying the remote location and talking with Tammy about a bit of the history of this wonderful property. I cannot recommend staying here enough if you need a break from city life - it was such an enjoyable, relaxing weekend.
A beautiful, restful and quiet stay, which is exactly what we both wanted. Andrea and Carl are both gracious and discreet hosts, and have a charming family. Would recommend. :)
Very peaceful place and great fishing spot. It would be nice if the city ban these sea doos that disturbs this peaceful nature.
Great place to enjoy nature and absolute quietness! Carl and Andrea were extremely friendly and helpful and the cabin has a lakeview to remember for life. Nice hiking trails nearby. Just bring lots of mosquito repellents.
Great little cabin right beside the lake. Andrea, Carl and Tammy were very welcoming and helpful. Dog friendly, and the owners who live on the same property have friendly dogs as well. Lake was very refreshing and great for swimming and boating on a hot day!

We are located in Cayamant, QC. Cayamant is a municipality in La Vallée-de-la-Gatineau region. The village of Lac-Cayamant is located at the north end of Lake Cayamant, west of Gracefield. This area is a haven for outdoor activities.
Our place is 6 km south of Lac-Cayamant on Petit-Lac-Cayamant. The lake itself is pristine, relatively untouched and teaming with fish. Our property is 125 acres of mainly woodlands, wetlands and lake frontage. We even have a lake entirely within our property!
We are a 1 hour drive from Gatineau Park, which has many amenities including some great ski resorts.
Getting around in these parts can be difficult. Our road is only seasonally maintained. You can get here from May to November. Outside of those times, you'll need an offroad vehicle (snowmobile or ATV) to access the property.
I'd highly recommend coming prepared with most of what you need. It's 30 minutes to Lac-Cayamant and 45 minutes to Gracefield from here.
