Camp Birches was an absolutely lovely place for us to stay when we visited Yarmouth and Carlton Nova Scotia. The cabin itself is absolutely beautiful, it is so clean and neat as a pen, has historic elements, but modern upgrades that make it so comfortable. The cabin is nestled in the private woods with a fire pit and view of the lake, our kids had an absolute blast on the boats and kayaks and with fishing. Ben and Ray were so communicative and helpful in every way and made our stay incredibly comfortable. They have thought of everything you could possibly need, it was just awesome. The cabin is outfitted with everything you need to make full meals and stay for long periods comfortably. There is an amazing gas grill and beautiful wraparound front porch that made the evenings lovely. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this absolutely beautiful location and cabin.

Overall was an ok stay at camp birches, the lake was great, water was warm, nice dock! The cottage- the veranda and bbq area was nice however the cottage itself was not for us, with younger children we didn’t find it suitable. No ventilation exhaust fan in bathroom or in kitchen and bathroom window doesn’t open which causes moisture and in turn the musty smell which was triggering for asthmatic family members.

We had a very relaxing week at the cottage. The lake was perfect for swimming, boating and fishing and the cabin was extremely clean. Thanks for a great vacation.

Camp Birches was everything it promised. The charm and character of this beautiful cottage gives the sense of walking back to a simpler, more peaceful time and yet it lacks for nothing in comfort. This is a true gem that will take you off the beaten path into the world of rest and relaxation.
