We enjoyed every minute of our stay. We spent most of our time outside by the water and the firepit. it was the perfect little getaway.

Absolutely will be back!! Very sorry the storm's tore up some of the extra thing's around the place. Power outage ruined the microwave and some furniture outside. And we retrieved everything from the water we could and tide it back down. And is ready for the next tenant.

We truly enjoyed staying there. We had a last minute family emergency and had to find a place in Alabama last minute. Host was extremely flexible about our stay.

This was truly the perfect peaceful getaway. I love the flat lot and easy access to everything on the property. Even though we didn't take advantage of the kayaks, canoes and paddle boat as we thought we would, it was an added bonus that they were available for our use. This place is convenient to Athens and Rogersville. The river was beautiful and the sunsets were gorgeous. the two covered porches were also very enjoyable. the house was well stocked.

My family and I loved our visit here. We chose this location because some of us have mobility issues (back and knees) and the gentle slope to the water and minimal stares was exactly what the doctor ordered. The peaceful back porch and river bank is where we spent most of our time chatting and fishing. The mosquito repellent coils worked very well to keep the blood suckers away from the back porch. Our gracious host, Trudy, was available to take our calls and answer any questions. The home was spotless and had everything we needed. Prior to arriving, I conveniently placed an online order for groceries to be picked up at the Athens' Super Walmart after we arrived and unloaded the car. The Super Walmart is about 20-30 minutes away from the cabin. There are bait shops on Hwy 72 at the Chevron - West End Outdoors (about 25 minutes away) and at Sportsman's Park on Elk River Mills Rd (about 10 mins away). Definitely will try to come back and recommend to anyone that is looking for a safe, tranquil, secluded getaway.
