We thoroughly enjoyed our latest visit to The Roost, it’s become quite a tradition for us to welcome the spring in such perfect and private surroundings and fees like a home away from home for us. Everything about this place matches the listed description. There are comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, roomy screened in porch, just right hot tub for after hiking relaxing, an outdoor barbecue area, and a fire pit under the stars. The creek is beautiful to listen to and refreshing for a dip and it’s hard to beat waking up to the amazing morning bird songs. We certainly hope to return when we can!

Phenomenal responsiveness and over the top accommodation. Upon arrival there were a few things the cleaner missed and following a quick conversation with Keith, the space was touched up in minutes by Tracy and Keith went so far as to provide us with dinner. I believe both Tracy and Keith are by far the most considerate and best hosts I’ve ever encountered. The property is immaculate, private, and was the perfect place to relax. My friend and I were taking a break from the stresses of our lives and preparing for life changing transitions in our careers. Thanks to Tracy and Keith our trip could not have been better! Really lovely place. The kids loved it, from the creek to the hot tub! The wraparound porch is a great feature. This would be a great place to stay any time of year. It's close to a few cute little towns (Sperryville) and all kinds of nature activities. My toddler was in tears when we left and is already begging to go back!

We stayed at the Roost for several days while we hiked and enjoyed some nature. The Roost is a perfect cabin for a getaway—it’s in a remote location and surrounded by nature. There is definitely a sense of peace here. The cabin itself was clean and well appointed. Tracy sent lots of helpful information after we booked the cabin so we could plan for hikes and meals. We are looking forward to coming back for another stay!

Exactly what we needed. perfect escape from the city when you are willing to disconnect and leave the phone behind. Mountain hiking, wineries, restaurants, private mountain stream swimming hole, great yard for dogs. we will be back!
