We loved our stay! Very peaceful and quiet! Although it happened to rained during our main day of hiking. It was great how close the home was to great trails! As was recommended by Ann, we too recommend having a vehicle suitable for slowly driving up and down steep hills. It’s not TOO bad though. The home is wonderful inside and out. We loved relaxing on the cozy screened-in patio. We recommend any and everyone to take a stay at this great location!

Ann's place was magical. Beautiful, clean, modern with so many thoughtful touches just footsteps to the most amazing hiking and wineries in Shennadoah. Would 100% go back to Ann's.

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Ann’s lovely home in Etlan while there to attend a wedding at nearby DuCard winery. We now have fond memories of time spent taking brisk local hikes, relaxing by the charming iron fire stove in the comfortable living room, playing lively card and board games on the kitchen table, and the delightful feeling of living amidst the trees in beautiful mountain surroundings. We hope to return someday!

Ann’s Airbnb was perfect. My husband and I booked it for a weekend of hiking and wineries in Virginia and this was the perfect spot for it. It was close to so many hikes and wineries and the house itself was super comfortable and had everything we needed. Ann was very communicative and had tons of helpful suggestions. I definitely recommend it

We needed to get away from "the city" and decompress. This was the perfect place for that - the silence was amazing. Essentially no cell service, so flipped our phones to airplane mode and just used the wifi provided at the house. When we needed a little activity, we drove to nearby wineries, visited the Inn at Little Washington, and checked out the local hamlets. The home had two large bedrooms with ginormous bathrooms, a great living/dining/kitchen area including a wood stove that really heated up the place nicely. The screened in porch was wonderful. I think it would be tricky to get in/out of this location in snow/ice, but otherwise should be accessible to all (the owner mentions using her Honda Accord to visit the property). Finally, the fully equipped kitchen had all the pots, pans, utensils, etc., that we needed. All we had to do was bring our own food for meals.
