I stayed three months over the winter. House was always warm and comfortable. Plenty of space. Art work by local artists in the house to enjoy. Great kitchen with everything you need. All appliances are new with a good washer and dryer in a separate room. The location is very walkable to downtown to enjoy the restaurants and other stores. The home has off street parking. I recommend this home for anyone looking for a place that is close to the mountains and many artist communities in western North Carolina.
Lovely home, wonderful stay.
Well located to downtown, but area can be a bit noisy after dark. Comfortable and clean space. Just a short drive to Wilson Creek area. Hosts are great and work to add little touches to make guest feel welcome.
The house has tons of character and the location is great. Very clean. Dick and Margaret are great hosts promptly responding to questions.

We are retired educators who feel blessed beyond belief at getting to live in the country. During this time of high anxiety due to the corona virus, we feel for families who are living in confined spaces and cities where the numbers of cases have skyrocketed. Our family home place is very isolated (you just need to bring in all of the groceries you think you will need). The air is fresh and clean. There is plenty of room for children to run and play and for families to hike. We live only 4 miles away should a problem arise.
