We had the most wonderful time staying in and traveling from Nökkvi’s place. It is cosy and homey, with everything you would need to feel at comfortable. The little fire in the kitchen was my favourite. I loved the lighting, the sauna, having a washing machine. The spice drawer was full and there were plenty of essential and extra bits and pieces handy. We all felt so at home. Nökkvi was always very available to communicate. He gave us a wonderful list of places to visit which formed the basis of our tour.

The place was nice and quaint. The trampoline was amazing as well as the hammocks. The water pressure was amazing and the heaters worked very well.

This was definitely our favorite Airbnb in Iceland!! Nökkvi and Òlafur thought of everything. Even nicer than the pictures. It's outside of town but worth the drive. We took a day off of sightseeing just to relax and enjoy being at the cottage. Well stocked, and lots to do. (Got to see the Aurora borealis from the sauna!) We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon!

Absolutely epic experience!!!! My favorite airbnb stay yet. Truly unforgettable. Central to so many sights like landmannalauger and thorsmork and haifoss and other highland attractions but also close to golden circle and 4 grocery stores within one hour! House was spotless and so clean!! Cabin unique and inviting, the hammock and trampoline were added bonus. We loved the rolling lava fields and views of the volcanos.

The cottage was incredible — beautiful surroundings, a practical layout, clean, and so well stocked with everything we needed. Quite a trek from the ring road, but the reward is complete peace and quiet, and stunning views in every direction for miles.
