We had a lovely stay during our month long trip to Asbury Park - the home (especially the nostalgic artwork!) and neighborhood are charming and the owners are wonderful, extremely responsive in answering any of our questions. The backyard is beautiful, and our family enjoyed it especially during warmer weather. The location is great and very close to the Boardwalk. The owners were also so kind and gave us great recommendations for places to eat - overall, a fantastic stay!

House was great, spacious and comfortable. We had sold our home and it was a wonderful in between home for us and our dogs.

The house was as advertised with respect to the space and the neighborhood. It has a good sized and pleasant open living/kitchen/dining area and is in a nice, quiet residential neighborhood. The house is within walking distance to the boardwalk. There is a large, pleasant fenced backyard with a fire pit. The bedrooms were functional and mattresses comfortable though they are a little light on the storage in some of the bedrooms (considering the requirement to rent for a month). There were a couple of disappointments. One was that the house was not as clean as expected when we arrived...some of the dishes didn't seem very clean, the kitchen trash had not been emptied and there were some rags and a pile of leaves in the washing machine. One of the bathrooms had no hand soap or TP. We communicated with the owner and he offered to reimburse us for initial supplies and apologized. He mentioned that he had hired a new cleaning service and this was the first time they had prepped the house. These were relatively minor issues. Then about halfway through our stay we noticed mice droppings in several rooms -- we had not noticed them earlier but they may have been old. The owner said he had never had reports of mice in the house before and he had an exterminator at the house the day we left. I hadn't noticed any of these issues mentioned in other reviews so they don't appear to be the norm, but they were the reason I downgraded the star rating. Otherwise the house was as expected and hopefully future renters will find these problems resolved. Chris was quick to respond to us through out our stay.
