I just got back from staying at Queenswood Holiday Villa in Cornwall, it was so good. The place is right in the middle of some lovely English countryside, very peaceful and chilled out. The villa's great, a mix of old and new. Big rooms, lots of light, really clean. You can tell they really care about the place. The kitchen had more than everything we needed to cook our meals, plus they got a dishwasher and washing machine, which was handy. The lounge was real cosy, nice to chill out in after a long day out. Outside, there's a nice garden, and a hot tub! and our private villa had a heated swimming pool and sauna. The views over the countryside are amazing, super quiet and relaxing, had some great walks around the lake which we looked over. You can get to a lot of cool places around Cornwall from the villa. Nice shops, good places to eat, and there's a beach not far either. Great for getting out and about. All in all, it was a top place to stay and relive my childhood holidays.
Your told on the day of check in you’ll receive lockbox code which wasn’t given to us until arrival until we texted which was a pain as we had over tired kids and just wanted to get in . When we first arrived the pool cover wouldn’t open and required assistance. Which I messaged Amy asking for and after exchanging a couple of messages Jo came out to help fix the issue which was a leak I believe. The liner on the pool is not fitted the best and the seal on the pool has gone . I told Jo before we entered the pool the liner has came down and need repairing but later we got blamed for this issue from the pool guys although this was brought up before we even got in the pool! There was no cot on arrival so we was up all night with a baby and no response from Amy despite contact . The sauna also didn’t work until 3-4 days in . Lights missing , general maintenance is lacking a lot! Ripped linen, taps that are not attached correctly. And previous guests stuff still left jn property .
We have just got back home and wanted to let you know that we had such a wonderful gathering with all of our family for our special occasion. The property and facilities are absolutely fantastic and made our break so enjoyable. We were very lucky with the weather as well - thanks again and we will keep your number as we might well come back and would certainly recomend to our friends.
We had a great week, the house was lovely and the cinema room, pool and sauna topped it off. The pool was lovely and warm. The kids loved it and it’s a great house for a family stay.

With a passion in creating memorable breaks in wonderful holiday homes and understanding the value of time away, I opened Queenwood Holidays in 2018. All our holiday homes are beautifully designed, perfect for friends to gather, families to relax & occasions to celebrate, with excellent facilities, home comforts including Wifi and Sky. With over 10 years of enjoyment designing and managing the luxurious 5* Retallack Resort and Spa resort in Cornwall, I take great pride in delivering luxurious holidays through our private collection, ensuring a 5-star holiday experience for all our guests. As a mother of two fun-loving energetic young boys, I quickly learnt much of what families needed on holiday, helping me to design the well-known Retallack Resort and also how very valuable a concierge service is for busy families and groups of friends prior to their breaks away. Many of our clients travel with children therefore equipping the homes with all parents could need from cots and stair gates, to ideas on where to go and what to see, to babysitters and kids clubs is all part of the experience our guests expect and enjoy. Our UK stays are all dog friendly, offering high end holidays homes to those travelling with dogs with no additional premium, has always been important to me as has ensuring all our homes are of a high standard with sumptuous beds, excellent fittings and luxurious linen. We love to assist with any of our guests’ holiday needs, my small team and I at Queenwood Holidays offer a completely free concierge service from booking restaurants and spa appointments to assisting with wedding cars and private chefs to the easiest of requests from a birthday cake to a baby sitter!
