I had a wonderful stay at Ally's studio in downtown Oakland! The location is perfect for access to the BART train to San Francisco, Oakland Convention Center and Lake Merritt. I loved being able to walk to nearby restaurants, and had a great time at the Kon-Tiki bar around the corner. The studio itself was perfect for my needs: modern kitchen, comfortable bed, office chair and work desk, fast WiFi and coin-operated laundry. The building is secure, the neighborhood felt safe. There was occasional noise from the outdoors due to the downtown location, it was never an issue for me and added to the urban charm of the area. Overall, I highly recommend this Airbnb to solo travelers or couples looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in Oakland. The hosts were friendly and responsive, and the location can't be beat for exploring the city. Thank you for a wonderful stay! 5 Stars!

Didn’t feel safe. The room next door had loud aggressive sounding arguments well past midnight and I woke up one morning and saw their door smashed in. The unit itself is fine. Kitchen is very well appointed with anything you would need for cooking. Desk is good to work on as well. The short walk to Bart is also a notable positive attribute. Good for transit into SF and the greater Bay Area. It’s a cheaper place comparatively for Oakland/SF but honestly with hindsight I would have paid a little bit more for a safer feeling place with less gritty aspects of Bay Area living.
