Penelope and Patrick were such sweet and gracious hosts! The guest space is so comfy and inviting that you’ll forget you aren’t home, and the abutting garden is expansive, gorgeous, and serene! Everything was as described in the listing, and Penelope was very communicative and attentive to our needs. There’s plenty to discover in Aptos and you’ll have an easy time getting to Santa Cruz, Monterey, or even San Jose! The perfect stay for those looking for a meaningful, memorable trip to the Monterey Bay area!

Penelope’s place was a perfect stay for our family of 4. My hubby and I shared the queen bedroom while my 2 sisters shared the one with 2 twin beds. The bedrooms were provided with all the basic necessities needed for our short stay. Penelope also showed us the way to the washer and dryer in the garage so we take care of some of our dirty laundry from our hikes. A fridge (full of yogurt, crackers & cheese, and milk) and microwave were conveniently located in the queen bedroom. Just outside the sliding glass door from the queen bedroom is a beautiful garden 🌸🌻🌷visited by all kinds of different birds every morning! We also spotted Bambi on our way in one evening 🥰 We could not ask for more and truly appreciate the little gestures and care Penelope put into providing the perfect accommodation for our little getaway 💖💕✨

Penelope and Patrick thought of every little detail- yogurt, homemade granola. and snacks. The backyard was a beautiful oasis with lots of birds and patio set with an umbrella. The two bedrooms were perfect for three people with a nice bathroom with all bath products provided. Lovely remote location that was fairly close to most local cities. Would definitely stay there again.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Penelope's: great location and directions to follow: very quiet at night and peaceful: Delicious homemade granola and many thoughtful breakfast and snack items. We did not lack a single convenience. The beds were comfortable and one friend had the best night of sleep, even calculated by her apple watch, in a year!

Thanks for having us. The room was as advertised and Penelope’s homemade granola was a very nice touch. Communication was kind and easy. Only downside: you can hear every step from the rooms above even through ear plugs and if you are noise sensitive, this is an issue.
