Hello and a warm welcome to everyone my name is Kamil Anderson . I'll be your host of the beautiful and relaxing private island of Tropic keas , located in the beautiful Carribbean sea , it's located 20 minutes from Belize city . Thank you for your inquiry into booking our private island. The island is located in the Lee of historic St. George's Caye. St. George's key was the original capital of Belize or British Honduras as it was. It was also the location of the famous battle of St. Georges caye between the British and Spanish Armada. The Island is 3 acres, completely separated from St Georges by a small but deep channel. This allows water activity including swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Infront of St. Georges there is "sandbar" the Belizean reef and beyond is the deep blue for deep sea fishing. More to the north is ambergris caye, with caye caulker and as Madonna called it "la isla bonita", San Pedro. There are many different attractions, shark Ray alley, blue hole, the nightlife of San Pedro. The home has many different objects to help with your entertainment including Snorkeling equipment Fishing rods and trawling spoons Spear fishing spears Kayak Seascooters Volley ball court and ball BBQ pit Scuba gear Availability of boat and captain As the island is separated from the other islands, we have a few boats available to rent, however the captaining of a boat is licensable we recommend hiring a captain. The captain will be available from 6am until sundown.This mobility will allow you to venture further and travel to attend restaurants on caye caulker or other more local restaurants. As our private island does not have any stores located on it, we would recommend that groceries including drinking water be purchased. (We don't drink the tap water in Belize). On the Island we do have generators to provide electricity for night time and charging phones, usually from dusk to dawn , obviously you can leave the generator on longer for charging phones etc. Belize cell phone service is terrible and the best of times, however we do get a decent signal and even 4GLte. We do have TV and satellite, why go to a tropical island to watch TV? This is family time or couple time. The home has a a kitchen and a firehart, ( BBQ pit) with pots and pans and utensils, if you want us to arrange a cook ( this is a cook, not a chef) for your stay, it will be no problem at $60 a day. The island does have a watchman/security on site at all times. "Sand bar" is a shallow sandy area just inside the reef where the water is only 6 inches deep in places and a couple of feet around the sandbar, the water is crystal clear and perfect for frolicking with family and friends. It's truly amazing to be miles from land and standing in inches of water, a safe family friendly activity. "Shark/Ray alley", a personal favorite, here again you are in shallow shallow waters, however here Hol Chan marine reserve is a protected area and attracts Nurse Sharks and Sting Rays, everyone is encouraged to go swimming with these magnificent animals, the sharks are harmless and don't have big teeth, but as an avid jaws fan it's still a challenge to jump in with the Sharks. Not a natural act and certainly separates the men from the boys. Deep see fishing can be arranged and asking as we get enough notice, the day starts off with catching the bait and then going fishing in the big deep Sea. This activity is weather permitting. Caye caulker is a very laid back type of island, long hair and funny fags (cigarette) kinda place, people come for the sandy beaches and the split, a local bar that sells crazy strong drinks, it's certainly for a different type of crowd from San Pedro, caye caulker is more backpacker kind of island. La isla Bonita... San Pedro, this is a beautiful island with perfect beaches at the resorts. It is resort living. We will gladly transfer you on your day of arrival and departure, from Joe's Marina ladyville, 8 minutes from the Phillip goldson international airport.on good day the trip takes approximately 18 minutes...
