I was excited to stay at this home, but unfortunately, we were disappointed with our stay. You would think for the cost of this rental, that they would provide functioning appliances. The stove, oven, freezer, and fridge all were not working properly. We stayed at this home over the Thanksgiving holiday week. We did not expect to lose all our frozen food on day two of our stay. The freezer did not work properly. So, all our frozen food spoiled. The fridge was not working either. Something in the fridge was broken and leaked water everywhere that we had to clean up numerous times over our week long stay. The stove/oven only had one functioning oven of the two. The information for the stove dials were all rubbed off. There was no way of telling what temperature the stove was set at. None of the locks on the doors functioned properly, only the front door. This list goes on, but I will stop with saying this home needs a lot of maintenance before I would ever consider staying here again.

Overall, our stay was enjoyable. The house is nice on the inside and underneath. We booked the reservation thinking the house was on the ocean-side of the island because it says “OCEANFRONT” in the listing title, but it is on the bayside. The only disappointment was with the beach area on the backside of the property as it does not look like the pictures in the listing. For example, there was not a boardwalk down to the bayside beach, just a narrow path in the sand that was full of sand burrs. Every time we walked our dogs down to the beach we had to pick out burrs from their feet. This wouldn’t have been an issue if the boardwalk was there like the pictures advertised. The real beach is across the street and is a fairly quick and easy walk. Also, the fitted sheet on the master bed was too small and pulled off the corners every night.

Beautiful home on the beach. Perfect family getaway for us and our dogs. Very peaceful and relaxing and had everything we needed.
