Very nice suite connected to Shannon's main home. She was a very welcoming host. The place is decorated with beautiful antiques and not sure why the kitchen isn't advertised, but there is one open to the living space with a small table and three chairs. The upstairs has two twin beds with beautiful natural light, however, my kids had a hard time sleeping. The place was well-maintained and cared for by Shannon. The beach path is downhill with one switchback. The beach was easy to walk, but only at low tide - otherwise not passable.
We had a wonderful stay at our home away from home. Really comfy beds, great kitchen amenities, comfortable seating area and garden and grounds that were lovely for wandering in. Shannon was a terrific host and we hope to return again!
We love returning to stay at Shannon's cottage as it is extremely clean, convenient and has everything we need in traveling with our family and toddler. Shannon remains to be a warm, thoughtful and responsive host as was the case when we first stayed with her four years ago. The wagon with the wooden blocks was enjoyed by my toddler this year and it was nice for Shannon to provide that for us. The generous breakfast basket is always something we look forward to staying with her. Will definitely return next year again! Thank you, Shannon!
Shannon’s cottage was perfect for the four of us. It was a wonderful place to get together and visit with our family who were in the area. We enjoyed the amenities and privacy of two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The beautiful selection of books was amazing. The flowers and breakfast basket were most welcome. Loved all the antiques in the cottage. Thank you for the stay in your beautiful Tudor style cottage Shannon.
The Cottage is a wonderful retreat from the every day. Everything is so well appointed, tastefully laid out and comfortable. Shannon is a wonderful host, very responsive and flexible. This is our second visit and we plan to return again.

I am a contemporary textile artist and instructor in Arts Education and offer textile arts retreats here on Salt Spring in addition to the B and B . I know travel having lived studied and worked abroad for over a decade in Japan, SE Asia and the U.K. Gardening, arts, music , books, travel and hospitality are all important to me. This property I have completely renovated inside and out since landing here in 2014, envisioning as a family home to be shared as a retreat and arts space . I am happy to host and engage as you wish.I value quality, things done well and small touches and surprises that make things memorable.
