A beautiful property in a great location! Although not a huge property, the available space is so well used through creative architecture and design. It's a pleasure to spend time in it. Being only two blocks from Abbot Kinney Boulevard, there are many excellent restaurant and bar choices nearby. Jo-Ann was a great host. She was very responsive to any queries and she had provided a folder with a wealth of local recommendations. Furthermore, everything provided within the property from the toiletries (e.g. Aesop) to the coffee was super high quality. In summary, we would definitely stay again when in Los Angeles.

If visiting the W. LA region (Santa Monica/Venice), this is an ideal location. Located in a quiet neighborhood, it is only about 2-3 blocks to the heart of Abbot Kinney. The Abbot Kinney area is perfect for walking, shopping, dining, people watching, etc. It even has a Med Men if you're so inclined. The lodging is like many in the area, originally a small bungalow, but Jo-Ann has redid it into a main house and two ADUs. One of the ADUs is where we stayed. Built with contemporary features and an efficient use of space, it was comfortable and included all the needed amenities... a friendly cat even came to visit. There are outdoor amenities, but due to the cold/rainy weather, we weren't able to use them, but the summer is probably quite wonderful. We actually arrived a bit early, as we were coming from DTLA, but Jo-Ann happily let us in. She even brought over a vase of flowers. Would definitely book again!

This was our 3rd stay at Jo-Ann’s and it is perfect! From the Aesop bath products to the Gjusta coffee, everything is well curated! The space is beautiful and the location couldn’t be better. The bedding is luxurious and the mattress is super comfy. Jo-Ann is easy to communicate with and brought us warm homemade scones one morning. We can’t wait to return!

We had a really lovely stay at Jo-Ann’s Cottage. Walking distance throughout Venice and a wonderful location. Jo-Ann was an amazing and thoughtful host helping us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay with our 4 month old. The cottage was big enough for a couple and 1 baby - we’d definitely recommend staying here to others who want to be in the action of Venice Beach but in a quiet peaceful setting.
