Chris was a wonderful host. Very helpful, kind, and attentive from the beginning. He organized a boat to collect me from the airport and take me back when I left Shela. He also met me at the jetty to guide me to the house, as the area can be difficult to navigate. Throughout my short stay, Chris checked in on me periodically and offered to help with whatever I needed. The house itself is lovely and very clean. There is drinking water provided and there were some delicious fresh fruits waiting for me when I arrived. The space is large and comfortable and can easily fit four people. It is a great value!

We spent good time at Chris's guesthouse. The location is in the middle of Shella and we felt at home. We will definitively come back.

Inmitten von Shela, ein Apartment indem man sich wohl fühlt. Ein grosses Wohnzimmer mit Esszimmer und Küche kombiniert, einfach, aber stilgerecht eingerichtet, luftig und kühlend und zweckmässig, der Küstenregion gerecht. Zwei Schlafzimmer mit zwei riesengrossen Doppelbetten, umhüllt jeweils von qualitativ guten, grossen Mückennetzen, die auch dank bequemen Matratzen ein gutes Schlafgefühl vermitteln. Das grosse gemeinsame Badezimmer ist von beiden Zimmer durch jeweils einer Tür erreichbar. Zwechmässig, sogar stilvoll eingerichtet und sauber. Das Appartement liegt auf dem ersten Stockwerk und hat keine Meersicht, was uns aber nicht störte. Da es inmitten von Shela liegt, spürt und hört man den Puls derer Einwohner und hat uns aber auch nicht gestört. Chris, der Besitzer und Gastgeber bewohnt den vierten Stock, Reuben, der Caretaker, den ersten Stock. Beide, sehr sympatisch und hilfsbereit, kommen ihrer Rolle perfekt gerecht und sind ein eingespieltes Team. Chris organisiert den Transf

We had a fantastic stay at Chris’ place in Shela. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Chris, but his house keeper Reuben was great and did everything to make sure we had a brilliant stay. It’s a great location in Shela, close-by to good restaurants and shops. We loved having the kitchen to cook breakfast in (there is a small shop nearby). Overall an excellent stay and great value for money.

Wow, Chris is a great host, and his place is amazing! Before our check-in day, Chris messaged me and arranged a boat taxi to pick us up from the airport. He met us at the dock and walked us through the village to the apartment, pointing out good restaurants and stores. The place is beautiful and breezy with iconic Arab-influenced architecture and glassless windows that let the fresh air flow through the space. You don't drink the tap water, so Chris brought us a fresh jug of potable water every day. Shela is a beautiful little town, very safe, very walkable, fun to explore. We had a blast windsurfing and sitting at the nearby cafe watching the boats move in and out of the harbor.
