Kesri and Paul were incredibly welcoming, open and warm. If you stay here, you are not just staying at a beautiful cottage in the countryside with a cosy log burner and all the comforts you need, but you will be immersed in way of life which has been lovingly created by two very devoted people. Fabulous farm stay. You feel miles away, but it’s only a short drive to Hay. Our daughter loved the animals & Marta was alway on hand to help with any queries we had. Definitely recommended!

Hay-on-Wye is a very special place for us - we got engaged there and have been back for many anniversary trips over the last 23 years. We thought we'd stayed pretty much everywhere when we came across Drovers Rest, looking for a last minute February half term break with our two kids. What a find. It's such a beautifully thought-out place, with high quality accomodation and finishings, fun extras like a tour of the farm and lovely grounds. We had pretty rubbish weather (it WAS February half term, so we knew what we were in for) but thoroughly enjoyed our muddy days away as a family. It was great to be able to VISIT Hay-on-Wye but stay just that little bit out of town with plenty of animals to keep the kids interested. We're looking forward to coming back to Drovers Rest when it's warm and bringing some friends for glamping and to take part in one of the food nights. This place was a great find for us - thank you!

We had a wonderful long weekend in November in Drovers rest. It was beyond expectations and right up our street. I stayed with my 2 boys in one of the cottages, which was nicely decorated, super comfortable and spacious. What we loved the most though is the farm visit, helping with the animals, the delicious bread and brownies left for us in the cottage and the yummy roast dinner we ate in the sunshine in the courtyard. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. We also had a campfire one evening in the forest and enjoyed playing ping-pong. Paul and Kes were always on hand if we needed anything and were able to recommend places to go, walks etc...and communication was spot on. Our boys were so sad to leave and in fact, on the last night, they both went to bed very sad and said: I don't want to leave... We will definitely come back! Thank you!
