This is an authentic Costa rican home and a real pleasure to stay here. Rosa is a real sweetheart and a great hostess, we talked for a long time even with my limited Spanish but it worked somehow. For the times when I really couldn't understand, Evan was contactable on the phone to translate and explain things. It's about 30 minutes walk to the town but the good thing is its right on the main road, I came from Tilarán and left to go to puntarenas, both times the bus stops right outside so it's really convenient. Between Rosa and Evan they will help you to find whatever you want to do in monteverde. Really good value as you could pay a lot more and not get this kind of warmth and hospitality.

We spent three days at Casa Evan with Rosa as our host and the experience was exceptional! It was a warm and inviting cultural experience with amazing food surrounded with love. Staying with her has probably been one of our highlights of the month and being able to be part of her family for a moment in time was priceless. I wasn’t feeling the best for about a day and she nurtured me like one of her own. We are very thankful that you and your family shared with us. No trip to Monte Verde is complete without a stop to see Rosa. Evan please let her know that I will learn more Spanish and come back just to talk to her. She is a real jewel in the world. Sehr nette alte Dame, Haus außerhalb des Ortes auf dem Lande, sehr originell, mit sprechendem Papagei. Hab mich wohl gefühlt.

El lugar queda un poco alejado de Santa Rosa, pero se hace caminando sin problemas, el trato y cordialidad de dona Rosa es un lujo,el internet para Whatsapp funciona, lo recomiendo mucho si buscan estar en un ambiente familiar y comer rico!!!

Rosa, la mère d'Evan, nous a accueilli comme de la famille, nous a fait goûter les spécialités locales préparées par ses soins et nous a raconté plein de choses sur la vie au Costa Rica. Une hospitalité précieuse au milieu du tumulte touristique de Monteverde. Si nous le pouvons, nous reviendrons pour elle ! Rosa, Evan's mother, welcomed us as family, made us taste the local specialties she prepared and told us a lot about life in Costa Rica. A precious hospitality in the middle of the touristic tumult of Monteverde. If we can, we will come back for her!
