Absolutely loved this place. The home was so cute and comfy and had everything I needed and more! But the location was the real gem. My dogs and I walked for miles right out the front door along the water each day. I would definitely stay here again!

The Shire does not disappoint. Lovely mostly peaceful with the exception of so many of those buggy vehicles. They are a tad noisy but that could be just me. So nice to sit on the couch and look out to the creek. All the birds and even the cows! The patio was great to sit at in the morning with a cup of hot tea and just enjoy the birds chirping. And in the evening to wind down with some hot cocoa and the fire. Oh my goodness! This weekend was all about relaxing and unwinding so we made it a point not to cook but the little mini-fridge worked perfectly. The kitchen looked like it had everything you would need to cook a decent little meal. Lots of dinnerware, glasses, wine goblets, tea cups. You name it, it was likely there. I did see lots of pots and pans and all that you would need to cook a nice meal. There is also a gas grill on the patio. The bed was nice and comfy and sleeping with the window open allowed a great breeze and the sound of the creek to lull me to sleep. LOVED IT!!

We had a really great time watching birds along the river right out the front door, as well as by accessing other trails from the property. Hosts Peter and Michele were really welcoming and friendly, and we learned a lot about a lot of different things in Arizona from them. All kinds of hot beverages were provided that were just another indicator of how welcomed our hosts want guests to feel. We wished we could have stayed here longer.

This place was amazing! Cute and comfortable! The creek in the background! Just amazing! My daughter had an amazing time going to prom! This was perfect for to get ready and mom to relax! The owners greeted me and made me feel welcome! A must stay!!

This was a great spot for a long weekend with my pup. I loved being able to step out the door and walk on the path along the river.
