Gorgeous surroundings and very peaceful We had a very comfortable stay with family from overseas for 4 nights exploring the area. Very comfortable beds and well equipped. If you like the rammed earth style of home this is one for you. Would highly recommend. Certainly suitable for a family
We have stayed at this delightful farmhouse four times now! It really is such a special place in such beautiful surroundings.
We had a small hiccough at the start due to a miscommunication re arrival date, so getting in was problematic. However that was quickly remedied and we absolutely loved our time in this beautiful place and comfortable home. Quiet and peaceful, only birdsong - dear little fantail flitting about. There is a very nice feel to this place. Well equipped kitchen for self-catering. Fabulous location for walking (on the doorstep of Kahurangi National Park), biking, close to the Motueka River and within easy reach of the coast. We left reluctantly and are already planning to return. Thank you Mike and Beth.
We loved the view from this funny round house (the rooms are placed in a circle), it's on there edge of the mountains and in the middle of nature. There's continuous bird chatter which we loved and the garden itself is really nice to explore (there a lots of food to be found!). The hikes up in the mountains from the house are gorgeous! The communication with Mike and Beth was a bit difficult because messages didn't always seem to come through. But it's definitely worth staying here!
Such a beautiful stay! The home was comfortable and in a stunning area. Easy to get to Motueka but a lovely, remote retreat. Enjoyed the apples from the yard! Absolutely would recommend for a getaway!

Hi there! We are active outdoors people, and love our little home away from home in the Abel Tasman area of the South Island in NZ. Its a magic spot and we love being able to share it with travelling guests. Most of the year we are based in Southeast BC Canada, so our friend Heather is your caretaker, who also service the house in between guests to make sure its in top shape for your arrival. Heather previously worked for NZ Dept of Conservation for many years, as well as US Parks Service (Montana) previously, so she has a strong connection with conservation and we feel very lucky to have her work with us. Both Mike and I work in the aviation industry, Mike is a helicopter pilot and I am an aircraft engineer. Work is often very busy and demanding which we do enjoy, but when its time to take off and explore, there is no holding us back. We really value being a part of the Airbnb community, and try and book other Airbnb homes as often as we can when travelling for personal trips as well as using it for our travel for work. We love to get back to our little X on the map in NZ as much as possible, our last trip was Feb 2020 when we spent time landscaping the area around the fishing cottage, creating a peaceful natural space for guests to relax in. It is always great to spend time with friends & family and do some maintenance on the farm...we arrive with dreams of grand plans...usually only get 10% of them actually achieved but have a blast in the meantime. We know you'll enjoy this little spot in the Abel Tasman as much as we do, and hope you create some great memories and dreams of your own during your stay.
