We were unable to regulate the heat, at 4 AM Tues morning I turned up the thermostat from 69 degrees to 73 degrees, at 7 AM it was still 69 degrees. I informed the host and he checked the furnace and said it seems to be operating fine. He said the sun would be up soon and sarcastically offered to hand me an afgan. I told him we want a full refund. H later returned with a small heater and I said we were leaving and I want my money back. He said they would talk about it. When we left at 9 AM it was still 69 degrees and cloudy outside. When we rent a space we expect to be able to control the temperature in that environment, the host was rude and unreasonable.

Barbara, I can only imagine how beautiful and peaceful your property is in the summer and would love to see your herbs and watch the busy bees! That being said, your home and property was restful to my soul. What a blessing your home is.

This was a great spot! We had our two kiddos and the shelves of toys was super clutch. It was also one of the best stocked Airbnb’s I’ve been in, definitely easy to do some cooking if that’s what you’re looking for! Quiet and perfectly nestled into bluff country - there were tons of deer walking around dawn and dusk, which was an added bonus. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great place! Very clean and close to everything! Decorah is a beautiful area! Barbara was nice and responsive! Very appreciative of us keeping her place clean! Would definitely stay there again!
