We loved this place. It is convenient to many of the activities we were interested in - rain forest hikes, snorkeling, Manuel Antonio - but off the beaten track, and very quiet and peaceful and relaxed. We immediately felt comfortable and at home. The raised seating facing the ocean was our hangout when we weren't away, or in the ocean or pool. The house is more spacious than we had imagined. There is a good restaurant a short drive or longer walk away. The caretakers are so friendly and ready to help out in any way. As mentioned, the mom will cook for you if you give a day's notice, and we did that one evening. We stayed 3 nights and wished we had allowed for more. We would definitely return.

This house was perfect for our group of 6. Two couples, and two kids. We arrived after dark, and Jefferson met us in the driveway to show us to the house. The AC was on and refreshing. The pool is directly behind "our" house (white one). The kids jumped in and played daily/nightly. The beach is across the road out front and you can hear the waves. Beautiful! The palapa was great for coffee, reading and visiting. Jefferson was an amazing host! He was available for all questions. His mom Luz, cooked us dinner our last night and it was affordable and incredibly delicious!! We walked on the beach to La Isla for dinner another night (12 minutes). It has a bar, pool table & foosball table. Monkeys visited one morning and Jefferson alerted us to come out and feed them. He had cut up bananas. Very cool experience! Also, green parakeets congregate in the tree by the river (in back beyond the pool) in the evenings. This place is a bit remote, so bring groceries. You'll love it! We did!

We loved our stay at Playa Nido! So peaceful and relaxing. We rarely saw anyone else in the beach. No trash hardly anywhere. Luz and Jefferson, the caretakers were there for us the whole week, and were so helpful! Luz’s meals were the best! I appreciated all of Jays helpfulness in answering any questions! We are already dreaming of our next visit at this Air BNB!
