We very much enjoyed our stay in this traditionally furnished and artfully decorated house in a great location central to all the main activities and restaurants in San Miguel. As we do a fair amount of our own cooking, we especially appreciated the large kitchen with its ample refrigerator and freezer, plentiful counter space, and cupboards on the wall, rather than just under the counter in the traditional Mexican manner. We much enjoyed being surrounded by all the paintings, prints, tapestries, masks, and other objets d'art during our stay.

My family of four had a great two-week stay! Walt was communicative, proactive, and helpful. The location is very central, only a few minute walk to both the Jardin and the Instituto Allende. Maru the housekeeper was very friendly, and it felt luxurious to have my laundry done and dishes washed daily. The house has a dedicated office as well as an outdoor covered table so both my husband and I were able to work at the same time while not having to use the main living and dining areas - two dedicated "offices". The bedrooms are on the street side of the house so be prepared for some street noise but this is the case anywhere in central SMA. We borrowed a box fan and used a sound app and were able to sleep great! The beds and pillows are comfortable and the blankets are cozy and clean. The kitchen has everything you could ever need though I prefer to eat out when I'm in SMA - so many options right out the door! I would definitely stay again, the house is a gem.

Walt was great on follow-up. And his place is centrally located and is beautiful. I especially enjoyed sitting in the courtyard, listening to the bubbling fountain, and enjoying the fantastic job he did to build the traditional home. Probably the most beautiful Airbnb home I've stayed in.

I had been asked to visit Walt's place by a friend of mine, and when she showed my how terrific it looked, I decided to extend the booking and take it over myself for another couple of weeks. I could not have been happier. I had reunions with friends that I had not seen. They loved it, I loved it and everyone who dropped by loved it. I could not have been happier.What else can I say?
