Great stay away from the city in a beautiful and rural setting. The house is great, the property extensive and the silence when you go to sleep more than relaxing. I recommend this place if you want to visit Extremadura but want to stay in a curated rural place where your dog is more than welcome.

Overall, we had a really nice stay at the barn. As others have said, the barn and property are really beautiful, as is the region. There are lots of nice walking trails right from the house, and if you're a runner, the main street in front of the house is about 5km back and forth (if you want to run further, you can follow the main paved road in front of the house up past Albalá or cross the main road just to the right and follow the dirt road down to Santa Lucia del Trampal). The barn has the main essentials: a nice kitchen, consistent hot water, etc., but we found a few discrepancies in the listing to be a bit frustrating, mainly that the bed is a full/double, not a queen as listed (we are certain of this as we measured it), we were missing/had to buy a few essentials like cooking oil, etc., and the internet was ok but too slow for things like video calls. We still had an excellent stay and I would recommend the barn, but a few small improvements would make it 5*.

Originally booked in 2020 (which did not happen for the obvious reasons!) but worth the wait. A lovely space and setting. Breakfast to the fluid melody of Golden Orioles! Bliss. For birders virtually guaranteed views of an eagle owl. Highly recommended.
