自我介绍

Trained as an artist and art teacher, I have been in the antiques business for over three decades. When I first started the shop, I chose the building for its character--it was built in the 1890s as a veterinarian hospital. Over the years, the clapboard two-story structure housed a midwifery clinic and later a variety of tenants rented it. In 1985, a major renovation conjoined the building with a new spacious light-drenched addition to become a 6000 square foot antiques and art emporium. Over the years I have enjoyed working with and finding the right pieces for creative local decorators, enthusiastic collectors, and fun travelers from around the world. Several years ago another renovation took place to convert the second floor of the 1890s building into the Guest Rooms. Since the first guests stayed, I have treasured the chance to meet travelers from near and far. When not dealing with antiques, my family and I love to travel (we have been to five continents), visit museums, cook (I used to teach cooking classes), and keep up with my five grandchildren. If I had to pick a life motto, it would be "live for today"!
