Gigliola’s apartments were just perfect for me and my group of girlfriends and partners. There are two spacious apartments both with lovely terrace areas. Our friend was getting married at the local abbey and they were staying in Villa Podernovo where the reception was being held which was only a 10 minute walk from the air bnb. We hired both apartments as there were 7 of us. The couples took the downstairs (first floor apartment) and the single ladies went upstairs, but if you leave the doors unlocked you can travel between the two apartments which we did most of the time, obviously there is an option to kept them locked as well. I cannot fault the cleanliness of the apartments it smelt of bleach when we first came in which I love because you know it has been thoroughly polished. There were plenty of towels, glassware and cutlery to use. There is a shop near by 5 minute walk which was handy for water and breakfast in the mornings shuts at 12.30pm and then reopens again in the evening. Plenty of parking on site we fit 3 cars out the front easily. Our favourite apartment was the top one which is smaller for sleeping arrangements, but there was still a double sofa bed, a single bed and a double bed. It is the one that has the blue interior, the terrace for this apartment was gorgeous and our main bed was really comfortable. Gigliola was so kind, she let us just get on with our activities, but attentively showed my friends around the whole apartment first thing when they arrived. She also baked us two yummy Italian cakes which was very thoughtful of her. There is a language barrier so at the end of the holdiay we just exchanged a thank you in a written translation. In terms of adaptors for appliances (hair dryers phone charger etc.) because it is such an old little village you need your EU adaptor but also there is an additional weird like 3 prong adaptor you need too. We mostly just unplugged the kitchen appliances and lights and placed our phone chargers in these so we could use them. I did end up buying a 3 prong adaptor from the local shop, because 6 girls trying to get ready with 2 adaptors was a struggle haha, so I recommend you buy one of these from the shop when you arrive if you have a big group. Gigliola is very kind and extremely helpful. The apartment has a very nice terrace perfect for dinners during the summer! Children are very welcome here.

L'appartamento della Sig.ra Gigliola è MOLTO carino, confortevole, tranquillo, curato e pulito e ci siamo trovati davvero davvero bene. Il terrazzo è molto vivibile anche quando fa caldo (noi si è sempre mangiato lì fuori), come anche la mansarda (in 10 gg s'è accesa l'aria condizionata 2 volte, quando fuori c'eran quasi 40°) e la sera/notte si sta davvero bene. L'appartamento è DAVVERO in un'OTTIMA posizione per visitare la Toscana (e volendo anche parti di Umbria e Lazio), considerando che in poco più di 1h di auto si arriva in moltissimi posti, mare compreso. La signora Gigliola è stata davvero molto carina, gentile ed accogliente, nonchè flessibile sull'orario di check-in dandoci a possibilità di arrivare un po' più tardi consentendoci così di mangiare cena prima di arrivare. Consigliatissimo! :)

We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Gigliola's apartment. The apartment was clean and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Gigliola was a lovely host and was very warm and welcoming, evening baking us a cake and providing us with milk, coffee and water for our stay. The apartment is in a great location and only a 5 minute walk to the local swimming pool and close by to the supermarket and a few cafes and restaurants. Our friends got married at the Abby and we were only a 10 minute walk away which was perfect. The area is beautiful and most of the locals are very friendly, with the exception of the staff in the supermarket who were quite rude to us and a number of our friends on separate occasions. Overall a brilliant stay and we would happily return.
