Jarrod and Ana are wonderful hosts, this property is as described and the hosts are great people that are willing to help and very Responsive, I would stay at a listing for these hosts anytime!

I just want to start off by saying that this is not a review on the hosts as individuals, but rather the state of their listing. The hosts were respectful, accommodating and very easy to contact via text. I reserved this airbnb for roughly a month but had to leave early because of just how terrible this place is. When I first entered the airbnb, I was greeted by gray sludge on the floors, tub and water room . There was a strong smell of mildew that I had to cover up with an air freshener. There were ants and spiders everywhere. As the days went by, we saw all sorts of island bugs join us in our tiny space. I saw bugs in the microwave every time I opened it, worms come up from the shower drain or floor boards, and even a couple lizards. When I contacted the host about this, she said that that is just how things are on the island, that they're seeking refuge from the heat and/or rain (which is a daily occurrence on this side of the island). She taped holes in the widow with duct tape so that lizards wouldnt get through, but that didnt stop them. This seems like an unpermitted, shoddily slapped together DIY extension of their nice home. There were gaps in the floor boards, mouldings, walls and windows. There was no real protection from the outside. We had so many different bugs every day. I was extra careful to not leave any food crumbs on the table or food in the trash because I was worried about the bugs it would draw. None of that mattered. The bugs still came through. The listing states that there is a kitchen. The stove plate does not heat up fast enough or even hot enough to cook even an egg. I had to eat out for all my meals for a month, an expense I had not taken into account. Worse, there was always something crawling on the stove, kitchen utensils and pots. The shower only spits out scorching hot or ice cold water; its very hard to get anything near tolerable. It really is a shame since everything else about this place great: away from touristy traps, beautiful views on the drive to/from, great hosts. I understand that there will always be insects and outside critters. Whether I'm in HI or CA. But the home should be robust enough to keep them all outside. I did not spend all this money to camp and share my space with the outside. I honestly still have nightmares of this airbnb. Worst airbnb experience. Ever. DO NOT STAY HERE.

This was just perfect. I came out to visit my now fiancé for the marine ball and our anniversary. It was so cozy and felt like home. They were super sweet and understanding with my car situation. The neighborhood was quiet and the beach that is down from the bnb was so gorgeous during sunrise and at night. It also was super easy to get to MCBH. I will definitely book this again.

Great value for being on the windward side of Oahu. The ceiling fans provided enough cooling so we didn’t need the AC. Parking was good every day except one time when it was all taken. We did have bugs/ants but that is really the norm for the climate. The bed and pillows were comfortable, but bath towels could use an upgrade. It’s was a little less private than I thought as you walk by another room to get to the rental but it was very quiet.
