Amazing town. Incredible location.. Super helpful, chill, and industrious people. Excellent walks and hikes. Smooth drive from St. John's on the Bay D'Espoir Hwy (360) and great ferry ride from Hermitage...there and back on two consecutive good weather/low wind Thursdays! Definitely planning to return.

Thanks to Matthew’s help and advice, we had the (wonderful!) opportunity to get to Francois even if the ferry went out of service. We loved it so much, we extended our stay! We had all that we needed (clean & well equipped) + people were amazing + the stunning trails were above our expectations!

Matthew was an extremely helpful host. He was fast to respond and answered all of our questions about our visit to Francois, even when we were planning our trip initially. He helped us coordinate with the local ferry so that we knew exactly what was happening during some stormy weather and ferry mechanical issues. The location of the property is excellent, right on the water and near the falls - makes for a great noise to fall asleep to! Can’t say enough great things on Matthew’s helpfulness. He was even kind enough to host us for an extra night when we were stormbound unexpectedly. Thanks again Matthew! We hope to visit Francois again!

We had an extremely pleasant stay two nights is the absolute minumum to enjoy the hiking trails and the magnificent views on top of the clifs. Matthew accomodations are exactly as announced and are very comfortable. This stay out of regular touristic path requires a litle more planning especially for food more over if you are visiting on weekends. Matthew and the local host provided all the necessary information and support. What a great experience!
