We rented this house for the eclipse. It was not far from I-89, but on a quiet street, an easy drive from Boston, and it was a mile from Waterbury center with a lot of great restaurants and the small town Vermont vibe I love. Bridget was really friendly and super-responsive. The pellet stove and heat pumps made the house so cozy. The back deck is terrific. It was an awesome place to experience the eclipse! If you MUST be up in the mountains or don't want to be near any neighbors at all or you need an incredible view out the backyard, this house is not perfect for any of those things. But if you want a super-convenient beautiful cozy well-supplied place to stay in walking distance of bars, restaurants, grocery, etc, and a quick drive to amazing trails and skiing, with a friendly and flexible host, this place is a fantastic choice! Would definitely stay again.

I really wanted to give this place more stars however it needs a little attention. Pros: - Great location - Clean - New fluffy towels - Comfortable lounge & dining for groups -Good facilities to cook & do laundry -Spacious -Friendly host As mentioned to the host, some areas for improvement: - Curtains needed in one bedroom & on the glass door for privacy (we had to tape sheets over the window) and a clasp to close the door properly. -Shower out of order (we purposely booked this spot to use two showers for our group but didn’t find out the shower was not working until the day before our stay, despite having booked months in advance) - A headboard in the upstairs bedroom - Bedside lamps needed in all bedrooms With a few minor tweaks this property would be really great. We still really enjoyed our stay.

Bridget was a great host, excellent communication throughout. The house is in a great location, about 1 - mile from downtown Waterbury. Fantastic spot for a ski trip, short drive to Stowe, Sugarbush, MRG, Bolton, etc. Will plan to book again next year.
