This is a pretty hard stay to rate as the view is really great. I gave 3 stars for the following reasons; the view from the front porch and property is amazing (coffee on the porch was a great way to start the day), the location was pretty central to a lot of fun things to do, and there were fun things at the house (instruments, magazines, games, record player, and kid friendly items). I am pretty sure I need to quit my job to become an etch-a-sketch artist. Dale, the neighbor and his wife were super friendly and helpful. I did not rate this stay above a 3 for a few reasons. The actual grounds around the house were pretty unusable as there was debris and junk everywhere. I had read in reviews that it was cluttered but this is a pretty big understatement. It was unsafe for us and our dogs to walk around the property (including broken glass, a razor blade, wire, etc). We had brought hammocks as we were looking for a lot of down time and we were not able to use them due to the junk. Additionally, we were pretty down for the "hut" experience and were looking forward to something different and "off the grid" however the interior was quite dirty. This place has so much potential but it needs a really good deep clean. Side note: if you walk up the road, please be aware that the neighbor had her big dogs off their leashes/loose multiple times. We couldn't walk our dogs up that way as they were aggressive. My husband and I walked up that way by ourselves and they had been let out on our way back down and they came right up on our heels, hackles up, in attack mode. It sucked as I have already been in the ER with a dog bite.

The dome is a super cool place. It’s the perfect place to unwind and detach from busy city life. Awesome location and view!

The house was definitely more like glamping! But it was very well stocked with everything that we needed, kitchen came with more than I’ve ever seen in an Airbnb (including a crockpot!). Its slightly more cluttered outdoors than in the photos, definitely a few hazards for bare feet or children. But the location was amazing, views of sunset / sunrise perfect, and overall it was super relaxing. I would definitely stay here again!

Fun, unique, and cozy dome home! My girlfriend and I had a really nice time, highly recommend 4 wheel drive for the road/driveway, it is dirt and rocks and can be a little scary. I needed a trip up and down to get used to it and be more comfortable driving on it. The description is quite accurate, it's more of a cabin than a house, per say, and should be held to those expectations. Hot springs are a must, downtown is cool, and it's not too far for day trips into Denver. Bathroom was a bit less clean than preferred, but everything else was fine. Beds are comfy, chairs are comfy, wood stove is comfy, overall just a cool spot to chill and enjoy Colorado without being around many people. Which, if you're like us, is great! Also, the little notes for using various things were helpful and fun!
