Richard and Laura are the most generous and kindest hosts you could have. Their bluebird cottage has everything you could possibly need, and more. We loved all the little extras throughout (won't spoil the surprises, but if you have little ones they'll love the place!) And were surprised to find a king size bed in the master, rather than the queen size listed! We felt spoiled! We loved crabbing and swimming off the dock, using the pool, kayak, fire pit, grill, and going on walks. We had everything we needed to unplug and connect as a family. Any questions I had, Laura made herself available. Great restaurant recommendations provided! We loved the nearby Mexican restaurant! We wish we could've stayed much longer... but it was heaven while we were there! Thank you for the memories! We've already shared your Airbnb listing with friends and family and hope they'll visit you soon! Thank you!

Amazing stay. Super cozy place with everything just as described. Amenities galore and you will feel right at home. I was able to cook and bake and had everything I needed in the kitchen. The house is loaded with little extra surprises. There was so much attention to detail and everything about place and every little detail was on point. Gorgeous, clean, peaceful. The pool was beautiful but the pier was AGAIN beyond what we expected. It looked more like the marina. Fishing was off the charts and crabbing even better! We got to use the tandem kayak to do some more fishing. Everything about the place was A+. Host was nice as well. He lives on the property and he’s helpful, he even brought us fresh Amish donuts one morning. Highly recommend Richards place - he and his wife know how to spoil their guests.

We really enjoyed the pool and the bbq. We cooked our meals at the house, and ate poolside. The house was immaculate, and everything possible was included. Richard and Laura are great hosts. We didn’t go out on the boat, but the lake is breathtaking. Food lion is a full supermarket close to the house. Everything was as described. We did have cellular service at the house, and then wifi.

This was our third year staying here. We love the peaceful setting, being able to go out on the dock and watch the sunsets, and the private pool was great for keeping our kids entertained. We found a cute town about 30 minutes away with great ice cream and pop corn, so there are things to do but not super close. There are a few restaurants and a bakery in Callao, about 10 minutes away, so you aren't completely in the middle of nowhere. We enjoy unplugging and relaxing when we come here. Yes, there was wifi this year (had not been previously), but only in certain parts of the home/property. In case you were planning to work remotely from here, it may not be a great option for you. We loved our stay and if it's available next year we plan to return.

We loved the area, the water, the crabs, and the house is set up perfectly. Richard is a great host- look forward to next time.
