This was a great experience! The marina was beautiful and Dave was very helpful.

We were looking for more of a water/ocean view. This property is at a marina. The pictures accurately show boats moored in the marina but does not give you any sense of the ocean. Lots of inside space with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths plus great deck overlooking the marina. Kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils needed to cook; you could even bake muffins! Wi-Fi posed a few problems but it forced all of us to gather in the living room and enjoy Netflix.

Fantastic place for us. Handles a large group. Very provate and quiet. Close to ferry, airport and groceries. Butchart Gardens nearby. Easy drive into Victoria. Our family thought this was a wonderful discovery. We all felt fortunate to be able to stay here. Highly recommended. Would definitely seek to return.

Surprisingly large interior space with four comfortable bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Perfect for a family or a small group. Felt immediately comfortable as soon as we arrived.

The marina house is in a sweet spot, close to beaches, close to a park, right at the ferry. A group of 6 of us stayed at Dave’s place and while we were quite satisfied with our stay, there are a couple of things we experienced with him that others might want to be aware of: — a kitchen drawer was falling apart when we arrived, and second time opening it, it fell off. Dave sent an angry “wtf” message related to this blaming us for it. — when opening one of the curtains in the living room the first time, a pull cable became unattached, for which we also received some upset. — after a few days the internet stopped working so we relied on phone data. (Granted, we didn’t message Dave about this or the other breakages). — We bagged up our garbage and put it on the patio, all of our recycling in paper bags on the kitchen counter, and our compost in a bowl as well. Dave accused us of “leaving garbage everywhere” and expressed annoyance that he had other guests checking in in two days.
